Drilling Desasters

In the current state of the art, many of the things that has become central to our lives, would be simply impossible if it were not for the use of petroleum and petroleum products. These resources are buried beneath the surface of the earth and require special equipment and skilled workers amazing to recover. It is a lucrative job, but it is also extremely dangerous. Unfortunately, the danger is not confined to workers on an oil rig, but it extends over the platform, although in the surrounding waters, coastal areas, inland waters and even through the waterways and coastal wetlands.

For truly catastrophic drilling accidents are rare, scientific and medical experts do not yet have a firm opinion on the health effects of exposure to oil and smoke. This does not mean she does not have diseases associated with inhalation of fumes or contact with oil, how many people have reported the sudden onset of illness for these claims. It simply means that the links and the consequences not been definitively resolved.

Beyond Body

The most spectacular images that appear during the drilling and oil transportation disasters tend to be covered by the rule of large swathes of contaminated water or wild animals in oil. These warnings are reported and are likely to remain in memory for a very long time. But this is only a small portion of the damages that can be caused by a disaster drill. Here are some of the possible consequences:

    * Adapted from tourism and manufacturing industry in coastal areas, including restaurants, retail, hotels and other associates
    * Damage to condominiums, businesses and homes
    * In the local ecosystem
